Darcy Hoffert is the Owner and Operator of Maritime Log House Restoration. He is a carpenter with over 35 years in the construction industry.
Darcy apprenticed in his father’s construction business in British Columbia, where he learned all aspects of carpentry work and foundations, roofing and framing. His favourite quote from his father lives in him still:
It doesn’t take any longer to do a project right the first time.
From his father’s company, Darcy moved on to be the lead carpenter on new custom homes and renovations in BC. He managed projects and also learned the timber framing trade. After moving to Nova Scotia in 2010, he built two custom, high-end homes overlooking the Bay of Fundy from start to finish before getting involved with restoring log homes in 2014. He took over Maritime Log House Restoration in 2016.
Darcy brings a thorough knowledge of construction and project management to the job.
